From Fishing Net To Internet

This was an extraordinary project to be a part of. I loved the quirky grittiness of From Fishing Net To Internet. It was an emotional look at Aberdeen not shying away from the Piper Alfa disaster, to having fun with pigeons, it did not hold back. And a delicious treat to choreograph as I saw the whole piece behind closed eyes with the first listen to the soundscape. It had made itself before stepping foot into the studio. Creating and rehearsing it was akin to watching a dream scape come to life and taking it down to the Dome in London with this terrific group of community dancers, was pure joy.

It debuted in 2000 in the Lemon Tree pre going to London’s The Dome in 2000. Thank you Tina West, Director of AwareHaus Theatre Company for engaging me in this special project.
