Ballet Training and Teaching

Ballet is Ani’s foundation and first love. It’s influence, discipline, technical acumen and embodiment translates into all her movement work.

Originally trained at the Rambert Ballet School in it’s original Mercury Theatre home, she was fortunate to have been taught, amongst others, by Marion Delanian soloist of the Iranian Ballet and Eve Pettinger exponent of the Ceccetti method. The latter established the Arts Educational Schools Ani attended, to feed the then London Festival Ballet, which she also founded. Now the English National Ballet Company.

Ani has taught Ballet throughout her career, notably as Guest Lecturer at The Scottish School of Contemporary Dance and more recently as cover teacher at the Deeside School of Dance and Adagio Ballet School Aberdeen.
